Remember in a post just recently I said I was hearing three words and I wasn’t sure if those three words were coming from the Lord or just something popping in my head to throw me off track? Well, I have to confess that when I heard the three words about the third time I knew where it was coming from.
There are times when the Lord will speak to me, and yes, I hear His audible voice, so there’s little doubt where it’s coming from, and I’ll place my hands over my ears, shake my head back and forth, and say, “I didn’t hear that.” “Oh yes you did!” is His usual reply.
I’m sure some of you might do the same thing. Maybe not placing your hands over your ears, but wanting to ignore what He’s just told you He wants you to do. It might be something that wasn’t in your plans or something that is going to be difficult and you’re not sure you can do it.
For me, this time of placing my hands over my ears was because I wasn’t planning on diving into another book and that’s exactly what those three words was about. Those three words is the title of the next book He wants to use me to write.
I won’t give you the title because that usually changes by the time the manuscript is finished. Some stay the same as what He gives in the beginning and some change by the end.
And where I was sure this was going to be some love story? Well, since writing that post I’ve written seven chapters and it’s not anything like what I thought it was going to be. But I never know what it’s going to be, so that’s no surprise! I still don’t know where this story is going but it’s getting pretty darn good, if I say so myself. And I do.
As I’ve stated before, I eat, sleep, and live, (vicariously) these books when I’m writing them and this one is no different. So hang in there with me if I don’t post something each day. Plus I have out-of-town company coming in a few days and will be with me for two weeks.
I promise I’ll try to keep up with my gibberish during these next few weeks. You may have to ignore some non-sensible statements for I doubt I’ll be getting much sleep.
Hang in there with me, pray for the Lord’s words and message to be fulfilled in what I write in this new book, and I hope to see you next time.
